our story

Michael Walstrom and Hannah Knox founded Handmade Mysterium in 2023. After working corporate job after corporate job, being undervalued, taken advatage of, and struggling to make ends meet, they made a decision. Instead of struggling for the benefit of corporations, “…why not just struggle for ourselves and do work that we love?” Michael and Hannah are creative, love to help others and love working with their hands, so the business idea just fell into place. With the help of family, friends, and their three beautiful dogs, Kuma (left), Yona (right), and tiny Orsa, they’ve been able to grow their dream of making useful, long lasting, and inexpensive works of art!
